Bad Hofgastein Ski Holidays

Bad Hofgastein is a good sized, quiet spa village set in a wide valley. Compared to Bad Gastein, this is the quieter of the resorts and has cobbled streets and a relaxed atmosphere. There are some lovely hotels to book here that also offer spa facilities.

Bad Hofgastein Skiing and Snowboarding

The skiing and boarding in Bad Hofgastein is fantastic both on and off piste. Gentle nursery slopes at Angertal give an introduction for beginners staying in Bad Hofgastein. Intermediates will just love the red and blues. The Gastein valley has a further 3 areas offering a total of 250Kms of fantastically maintained piste. Advanced skiers and boarders will find some more testing runs on the Stubnerkogel and a couple of good blacks on the Graukogel. There is also some brilliant off piste. If you hire a guide you could head off on an off-piste safari or go for a touring day with the ski school.

Bad Hofgastein Apres Ski

In Bad Hofgastein the nightlife is quiet by the usual Austrian standards. however, there is still a good choice of bars and disco’s to try out. Off the slopes there is the Alpen Therme Gastein spa that has pools, a 'river', saunas, steam baths etc. There is also ice skating or snow shoe walking.
