Bad Gastein Ski Holidays

Bad Gastein is located close to the head of the Gastein vally. This is a lovely old spa town that has widely spread but one which has a Central heart. There are some lovely hotels to book in both resorts that also offer spa facilities.

Bad Gastein Skiing and Snowboarding

The skiing and boarding in both resorts is fantastic both on and off piste. In Bad Gastein the nursery slopes are right next to the gondola. Beginners can then progress up to Schlossalm or Stubnerkogel. Intermediates will just love the red and blues. The Gastein valley has a further 3 areas offering a total of 250Kms of fantastically maintained piste. Advanced skiers and boarders will find some more testing runs on the Stubnerkogel and a couple of good blacks on the Graukogel. There is also some brilliant off piste. If you hire a guide you could head off on an off-piste safari or go for a touring day with the ski school.

Bad Gastein Apres Ski

Bad Gastein offers the best après ski where the partying begins when you come off the slopes through until the early hours. There is a good variety of lively and cosmopolitan bars with an impressive casino for those that fancy a flutter. Off the slopes there are a couple of spa centres where you can relax in thermal pools. There are also ice skating, curling, toboganning and sleigh rides. If you still have the energy go ice climbing or snow shoe walking.
